We revisited Childwall Golf Club having received great feedback from members on previous visits.
Conditions on the day were extremely tricky with a firm breeze playing havoc with scoring on what is already, a very tough and tight track in parts. Childwall is also a course that tends to suit a bit of a draw - which isn't most peoples shot shape and so with the added wind it added to a lot of players misery! However, one manstepped up to the plate and produced a really solid performance to take his maiden Bunkers victory. John didn't feel he drove particularly well, but he gave himself enough chances to score well and he took advantage of that brilliantly. Congratulations John on a superb and well deserved victory. |
At Bunkers we work closely with our partners at www.teeuplo.co.uk to provide detailed reviews of all the courses we visit.

A firm favourite amongst members in 2016 we revisit this local gem once again this season. In 2016 the club held a World Amateur Golf Ranking Event, which follows on from the very successful England Golf Northern Boys Championship held in 2012..
Formed in 1912, Childwall Golf Club ranks with the very best courses in the area. This year they are holding a World Amateur Golf Ranking Event, which follows on from the very successful England Golf Northern Boys Championship held in 2012.
Childwall ranks with the very best of courses in this area of very fine Golf Clubs. The course design was based on the recommendation of James Braid and has, over the years, undergone some alterations, mainly to increase the length. Childwall Golf Club is a very tough test of Golf and can match any course. The course is not undulating and is very pleasant to walk.
There are practice nets and a superb putting area to warm up pre round and the club house and pro shop facilities are excellent.
