how much is it to enter?
It is £5 entry fee for each member, and 100% of this money collected is paid to the winner of the competition.
All of your group match green fees & entry fee will be paid up front by the 1st March 2017.
This amount will be emailed to members by 15th February 2017. The amount you will pay will depend on the amount of entrants into the competition in 2017. As an example, last year the group phase cost £90 up front.
You will receive tokens [or similar] for each green fee paid that will be handed to the pro shop on arrival.
This is to ensure that the clubs receive their money for the competition regardless of whether members play all their matches or not - and this is as a direct result of a number of forfeited matches by members in previous years. We cannot sell this idea to host clubs if we are not delivering on our promises.

WHATS THE RULES ON FORFEITED MATCHES?
We appreciate that this is a very touchy and subjective area - and ideally, it should never even be an issue.
We also hope that by having to pay for your golf in advance, it will entice people to complete all the matches required.
However, we understand that there may be occasions where it become necessary to deal with problems and we want to be fair, clear and reasonable.
If a member contacts an opponent to arrange a match [by phone, email or text] we expect that a reply of some sort will be given within 48 hours. If there are THREE instances of non response to arrange the same match [this would be 3 instances with 48 hours gap between] then you may contact the committee to ask them to consider forfeiting the match.
If forfeited - the points will be given as shown on this LINK
