club info
Venue Website: www.forestofarden.co.uk
The Arden course is currently voted as the 2nd best course in Warwickshire, only just behind a certain "Brabazon" at The Belfry. In some people's eyes, this is equally as impressive as its more famous local rival. It has once again been voted inside the Top 100 golf courses to play in the UK and Ireland - and with pedigree like that, we feel it is an ideal venue for us to visit for our 2016 end of season trip.
With two fantastic golf courses on offer, the Forest of Arden golf facilities have the makings for a very memorable weekend. The two courses contrast each other beautifully, with the championship Arden challenging your accuracy and the equally as tricky Aylesford tackling your course management. It also has some of the finest practice facilities around which includes a 16-bay floodlit driving range, 60-yard short game and bunker area, and fabulous putting green.
The Belfry is one of the best-known courses in the Heart of England, but the Forest of Arden’s Arden layout gives it a good run for its money in every sense. The Donald Steel-designed Arden course runs through Packington Estate and has a terrific variety of holes and speedy greens. It has a wonderful pedigree having hosted the British Masters three times and provides golf at its best and most demanding, finishing with a breathtaking par-3 over a valley.

ARDEN COURSE - 18 holes, 72 par, 7213 yards. Parkland.
Designed by Donald Steel, the Arden is the flagship golf course for the hotel, having held the British Masters and the English Open, as well as other European Tour Events. Golfing greats including Colin Montgomerie and Ian Woosnam have all laid claim to a tournament victory on this great course.
The par 72 golf course measures 7,213 yards off the yellow tees, making it a test of length as well as accuracy. Mature trees line the fairways and a mixture of water hazards and bunkers threaten to put a black mark on your scorecard at any time, making this Forest of Arden golf course a truly rewarding experience for visitors that manage to conquer it.

day 2
'JOHN CURTIS SEDDON' MEMORIAL TROPHY
First Tee: 10:45am
This is our annual pairs betterball competition that takes place on Day 2 of the trip. Pairings will be drawn after our evening meal on Day 1.
Click here for more information on the John Curtis Seddon Memorial Trophy
AYLESFORD COURSE - 18 holes, 69 par, 5801 yards. Parkland.
Measuring in at only 5,801 yards, the Aylesford course may not have the reputation of the Arden Course, but it still makes for a tricky round of golf that will challenge even the more advanced golfers. The par 69 course uses its intricate design, including challenging water hazards and tough-to-read greens, to make accuracy an important trait to scoring low around at this Forest of Arden Golf Course.

end of season awards
As most of you know, the end of season trip give us the chance to conduct our annual awards ceremony. This has now become legendary, thanks in most part to the superb master of ceremonies work by our President Dave Ashley. There are a large number of trophies on the line that are won through the season, and some awarded at the conclusion of events - plus this is always growing each year.
We have booked a private dining area for our members at Forest of Arden ensuring that our evening is enjoyed purely by ourselves in the comfort of our own space. This will then be used for the awards ceremony.
